Pool Heat Pumps

Pool heat pumps offer an energy-efficient way to heat your swimming pool and spa. Pool Heat Pumps allow you to enjoy years of extended swimming seasons; and for some, the ability to swim year-round. Pool heat pumps operate by collecting heat from the outside air. Even at temperatures as low as 50 degrees, pool heat pumps can extract enough heat from the outside air and transfer it your pool and spa water. Heat pumps are constructed with a fan assembled at the top of the unit. The fan draws outside air over the evaporator coils. Liquid refrigerant (410A) absorbs the heat from the outside. The heated 410A passes through the unit's compressor, where it is compressed into an even hotter gas state. The heated 410A gas then passes through to the condenser where the heat transfers from the 410A to the pool water. The 410A gas being spent of its heat returns to a liquid state where the cycle repeats itself. This is why pool heat pumps are so efficient. They use very little electricity and no fossil fuels to produce heat.
